aeroDAC awarded CAA Design Approval

aeroDAC have been awarded BCAR A8-21 Design Organisation Approval

05 Jul 2010

Although aeroDAC already have an EASA DOA, this does not cover ‘Annex II’ aircraft. Annex II covers a fairly wide field including police or ‘state aircraft’, certain vintage aircraft and experimental aircraft.

The BCAR approval will allow aeroDAC to design and approve minor mods and to apply for STCs for Annex II aircraft. The wide scope of approval covers large and small aeroplanes, rotorcraft and airships.

“We are delighted to have been awarded this approval”, says Dale Williams, aeroDAC’s Head of Design. “Annex II covers a wide range of aircraft and the modification work on these aircraft is interesting and challenging. We are looking forward to working with owners, operators and maintenance organisations who need modifications or help with continued airworthiness issues for such aircraft”.
