aeroDAC issues a permit to fly under its DOA approval.

aeroDAC have an extensive scope of approval under their DOA, which includes the privilege to approve flight conditions and issue permits to fly. This is very useful for flight testing but it also allows aeroDAC to support other categories of flights. For example, aeroDAC recently completed a new STC for the luxury configuration on Cello’s BAE 146 Avro Business Jet (ABJ).

The STC installs a VIP configuration on the aircraft, with 46 luxury reclining seats with chameleon wood effect finish and deep cushions with premium leather finish. Also installed are a new divider with sumptuous veneers, deep high quality carpets, a new galley and refurbished overhead bins, sidewalls and overhead panels.

Cello were keen to display their aircraft at EBACE and aeroDAC were able to help to make this happen. Although CAA were not ready to issue a Certificate of Airworthiness, aeroDAC were able to approve flight conditions and issue a Permit to Fly for the aircraft. This allowed Cello to take the aircraft to EBACE and also allowed Cello to conduct crew training.

It was very important to us to be able to display this ABJ with the new interior at EBACE and aeroDAC’s ability to issue a Permit to Fly was extremely helpful said Nim Bains Cello CEO.
